After more than six months of hard work, our extensive renovation of a 1926, Tutor style home, known as the Kuppersmith Project for the former owners, is finally complete. Watch this video to take a before and after tour of the house to see all the changes we've made.

Once everything had been cleared out of the Kuppersmith Project garage, we cleaned and finished the concrete slab floor using a two-part epoxy coating. Watch this video to see how we went about it.

One of the useful features I added to the Kuppersmith Project house is a whole house, standby generator. The generator runs on natural gas and uses a transfer switch to automatically transfer power to the generator in the event of a power outage. Watch this video to find out more.

Before landscaping the Kuppersmith Project yard, the lot was graded and composted pine bark and manure were tilled into the ground to enrich the soil. Next, hundreds of holes were dug and plants set in place following our landscaping plan. Watch this video to find out more.

Landscaping the Kuppersmith Project yard started by digging holes with a motorized auger, then setting the trees and shrubs in place following our detailed landscape plan. Trees and shrubs planted in the yard included river birch, holly, azalea, and camellia. Watch this video to find out more.

After the interior doors on the Kuppersmith Project house had been painted and hung, the interior door locksets were installed. Locksets are much simpler to install today, due to easy alignment and assembly of the various parts. Watch this video to find out more.

A metal mesh foundation door was installed on the Kuppersmith Project house to provide access to the crawlspace under the house. The foundation door also allowed access to bins for the recycling chutes, which we installed behind a door in the kitchen cabinets. Watch this video to find out more.
