‘Today’s Homeowner’ and Pavestone Make Backyard Paradise Dreams Come True

MOBILE, Ala. — “Today’s Homeowner with Danny Lipford,” now in its 20th broadcast season, is once again partnering with Pavestone to launch the “Backyard Paradise” contest for 2018.

This popular contest draws thousands of entrants from across the U.S. With homeowners ready to leave harsh winter conditions behind and give their outdoor spaces some much-needed attention, show host and expert, Danny Lipford, says he’s expecting a record number of entries this year.

“The trend of creating outdoor living spaces is here to stay,” says Lipford. “Whether it’s adding an outdoor kitchen and dining area, stringing party lights, or just creating a cozy patio for relaxing, backyards are being utilized like never before. And with options that range from high-end additions to budget-friendly DIY projects, a fantastic outdoor area is attainable for virtually any homeowner.”

The Backyard Paradise contest kicks off today and runs through April 15, 2018. Contestants may enter the contest online at https://todayshomeowner.com/contest. Each entry should be submitted with a summary of why the backyard needs a makeover and a description of how an upgraded space would be used. Submission of videos and photos is highly encouraged.

The winner of the contest will receive:

  • Up to $10,000 in Pavestone materials – including pavers, retaining blocks, fire pits, and more
  • Labor/installation to create the outdoor living area of their dreams
  • Advice from Home Improvement Expert and host of “Today’s Homeowner,” Danny Lipford
  • A featured role in an episode of “Today’s Homeowner” TV

Monica Sethi of Castle Pines, Colo., was the 2017 Backyard Paradise contest winner. Sethi wrote in asking for help to make over her dilapidated patio area to enjoy the “300 days of sunshine that Colorado has to offer.”

The “Today’s Homeowner” and Pavestone teams renovated her backyard into an outdoor space to enjoy her beautiful natural hillside and hiking trail views. Photos of the project and the full episode are available for viewing at TodaysHomeowner.com.

  1. Is there a ” Backyard Paradise ” contest for 2022, saw it advertised on the show this morning. Love the show! We moved into our first house in our 60’s and have been doing small projects since, we have about an acre in the back and we have a shed, a small barn and a lilac in the yard. The rest is open with very little shade, would love some help!

  2. I’ve tried several times to enter Pavestone backyard contest BUT when I try to get a photo ((required) I lose everything.
