I have a mahogany deck in my backyard and every year I have to power wash it and stain it. I was wondering if it would be easier and longer lasting to paint it instead of staining every year?

I have blown insulation in my attic. I want to put spray foam in the rafters. Do I have to remove the other insulation or can I leave it?

I’m converting a large attic space over my garage into a bonus room. I’ll be using open-cell spray foam insulation in the ceiling area. I have two questions. Should I use the spray foam in the floor joists or would batts be sufficient? Also, do I glue down the subfloor and, if so, what would be the best glue to use?
