Cracked and peeling painted wall
Cracking paint most likely is caused by poor preparation.
Michele, a caller on The Today’s Homeowner Radio Show, just finished painting the entire interior of her home, only to notice that paint is beginning to crack around the windows and doors. The cracking is likely occurring because she didn’t properly prep the paint before she applied it. That’s a common problem to have. Michele possibly added a coat over some paint that was still wet. Our advice? She should look into a product from Zinsser called Peel Stop. It’s a clear binding sealer that should seal any cracking on her walls.
