Pour-on epoxy finishes for tables, bars and other types of furniture has become a popular way to waterproof and protect interior surfaces in recent years. This coating includes a pre-dyed resin for consistent color without settling. Application is easy because you simply mix the tinted resin with the activator and pour it on the piece you want to customize.
You’ll get a glossy, translucent, ultra-thick finish in just one coat. In fact, it’s as thick as 75 coats of varnish and it’s waterproof and resists heat and chemicals.
How To Use
You’ll need two plastic measuring cups and some plastic spreaders before applying this product. The ratio of the resin and the activator will depend on the size of the surface you’re working with.
First, pour the resin into the needed measurement in one plastic cup and do the same with the activator into the second plastic cup. Next, pour the resin into the activator and stir it really well.
Once it is mixed well, pour it on the surface of your project and spread it with the plastic spreader. It dries up to 8 hours and any leftover mess can be cleaned up with mineral spirits.
