Drilling in ceiling with foam cup to collect dust.
Drilling in ceiling using a foam cup to collect the dust.

Drilling holes in a drywall or plaster ceiling can create quite a lot of dust. To reduce cleanup time, drill a hole in the bottom of a paper or foam cup, then hold it against the ceiling when drilling the hole. The dust will collect in the cup for easy disposal.
