  1. It should be noted that some systems use both RF and PL (power line) for fault tolerance. The central controller plugs into a wall outlet and has an antenna as well. I am currently experimenting with 2 systems and there is a world of difference between them as far as reliability goes so choose carefully!

  2. The only complication that most people might have is with not having a white wire (common) in the switch box. We’ve run into this with houses just 10 years old…
