You can remove most carpet stains with ordinary shaving cream. Apply a large dab of shaving cream directly to the stain and let it sit for about 30 minutes. Blot away the shaving cream with a dry white cloth, then spray the area with a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water. Scrub off the solution with a dry cloth.
