The soffit and beam on the back porch of the Kuppersmith Project house were framed to accommodate the motorized, retractable screens from Phantom Screens that we’ll be installing later.
The motor and roller for the retractable screens will be hidden from sight inside the soffit. The screens can be rolled down at the touch of a button to keep mosquitoes and other insects away, then retracted into the soffit to let the outside in when they’re not needed.
