DIY Way to Keep Mosquitoes Away

If you want to keep mosquitoes from ruining your evening, but you don’t want to spray poisons or pesticides all over the place, here’s a non-toxic way to keep mosquitoes at bay.

First, get an empty glass jar and add two or three sprigs of fresh rosemary. Then, fill the jar at least three quarters of the way or so with water.

In a Simple Solutions segment of Today's Homeowner, Joe Truini demonstrates how to make a diy mosquito repellant with a mason jar, water, lemons, lime, rosemary, oil and a candle.
This DIY mosquito repellant is easy to make and doubles as a decorative item for your outdoor living space!

Next, add about 10 drops of lemon eucalyptus oil and some fresh slices of lemon and lime. Top off the mixture with a small, lit tea candle, which should float on top.

Not only will that keep mosquitoes away, but it looks great. It’ll be a nice addition to your table.
