Building a Drop-Zone Bench and Bike Rack
The Porters had a common problem with the boys tracking dirt from their cleats and gear into the house. So, we built a drop-zone bench for right outside the entry door.
We used 1×12 pine shelving that had already been primed and painted to build the bench, designed to accommodate three baskets underneath – one for each boy.
Watch How to Build a Drop-Zone Bench for a step-by-step tutorial.
We also built a simple station for the boys to store bikes, helmets, scooters and other ride-on toys.
Last but not least, we sprayed the garage with Miss Muffet’s Revenge from Wet & Forget to keep the spiders away.
