When you’re building a wooden outdoor project, it’s important to think about more than just strength. You also need to consider longevity.
Wood rot and decay will quickly destroy ordinary lumber, so it’s a good idea to use pressure treated wood anytime you’re building outdoors.
You also have to consider pests, like termites. So be sure to choose pressure treated lumber that is rated for “ground contact” anytime components—like posts—will be at, or below, ground level.

I have an old picnic table. Some of the pressure treated wood has split. I won’t to take some Rozen and put the glow-in-the-dark additive to it and fill in the cracks. I want to know if this is possible to do on a picnic table
