Looking for a safe, non-toxic way to keep your lawn and gardens healthy this year?

You don’t have to buy commercial fertilizers. All you need is a bag of Epsom salt, which is magnesium sulfate. Magnesium, which is used in most fertilizers, gives plants a nutritional boost.

You can buy Epsom salt at most grocery stores and pharmacies. Make sure you have 3 pounds of Epsom salt for 1,250 square feet of lawn. Just sprinkle it around the root zones of trees or mix it with the water for houseplants.

You also can grow flowers, especially roses, with Epsom salt. You’ll get much bigger blooms and much richer color!
