Sometimes keeping up with your tools is the most difficult part of a job, so here’s a simple solution to make your work go more smoothly. Take a nail apron (you can get them at most home centers for $0.99) and divide the two large pockets into smaller, vertical pockets by sewing from top to bottom every two inches or so.

The result is an apron that’s great for holding tools like utility knives, chisels, putty knives, etc. When you’re through working, just roll the apron up, tools and all, and toss it in the tool box or hang it on the wall in your shop for handy access to the tools at your work bench.
