If your home has wall-to-wall carpeting, it’s necessary to bring in a carpet-cleaning machine from time to time to shampoo the entire floor.
But for small spot-cleaning and to remove odors, all you need is baking soda, a spray bottle with water and a scrub brush.
Here’s how to go about it.
How to Spot Clean Carpeting:
1. Sprinkle the carpet generously with baking soda.
2. Mist the area lightly with hot water in a spray bottle.
3. Scrub the spot with a stiff scrub brush.
4. Allow the spot to dry.
5. Vacuum up any residue.

Thanks for the carpet cleaning tips, Danny and Chelsea! I want to share a tip with you. We have had the same carpeting for 21 years and it still looks like new. I have knocked off a coffee cup full of black coffee on my carpet more than once. I amaze my family that I can remove it and there is no stain residue. As quickly as possible I flood the area with water and spread it around. I then soak it up with a towel, then another one until it’s all gone and practically dry to the touch. Never a stain remaining and my carpet is the lightest of tan.
I do work slowly with my vacuum cleaner back and forth in the walk areas to pick up the pile and remove the dirt. That’s why my carpet has lasted so long👍
We love your show and hope it never goes off. We look forward to every episode…even reruns! You two have a great chemistry. Love you!
