Next time you’re considering using a toggle bolt to attach something to a hollow-wall, consider using a strap toggle instead.

Strap toggles are superior to traditional toggle bolts in two important ways:

1.) The shaft of the machine screw fits snugly in the hole drilled in the wall, so toggle holds more securely

2.) The strap locks the toggle to the wall, allowing you to remove the screw as often as necessary, without having the toggle fall down inside the wall.
