Warranty

ADT Solar provides a 25-year warranty, unlike most product warranties that only last for 10 years. This solar provider states that if your new solar panel system doesn’t produce the amount of energy that’s been guaranteed, you’ll receive a cash difference.

This 25-year warranty includes the following:

• Labor guarantee: This is a promise that your home solar panel system will be installed without damaging the system itself or your home.
• Power production guarantee: The solar system will produce the amount of power advertised in your initial solar proposal.
• Panel module guarantee: Your solar panels will remain intact and in working order.
• Enhpase microinverter guarantee: The microinverters will function without any error.

Financing Plans & Options

Solar Purchase

For the United States, the usual payback period for solar systems is four to eight years, though this depends on the equipment required and the size and variety of solar panels.

Solar Lease/PPA

When you lease solar panels, you’ll apply for a PPA where you then agree to monthly payments. This condition means that you won’t ever own the solar system, even though it can be installed on your home.

When applying for a solar lease/PPA, bear in mind that you won’t receive any dedication from the Solar Investment Tax Credit, as you need to own your system to receive a federal tax credit.

With that being said, a solar lease/PPA has many benefits to it, such as lower upfront costs. Plus, the leasing company will be liable for maintaining the solar system.

Solar Loan

A solar loan is used towards the upfront costs of purchasing a solar panel system for your property. This loan helps to prevent any hefty upfront payments while providing you with full ownership.

Similar to a general loan, you’ll make monthly payments along with an interest rate. As you’ll be the owner of the solar system, you’re eligible for benefits and incentives like rebates and tax credits.

“My experience with Sun Pro is this: the company only uses a recorded line. When they called me after I responded to an online ad, I was immediately informed that this was a recorded line. I was asked at least four different times if I owned the home during that conversation. I felt as if I were on trial.

On the day of the appointment, I got a courtesy call to confirm our appointment, and it was a recorded line. “It’s for quality assurance,” was the response.  (It’s not for MY assurance!) When I called the office to cancel my appointment (I can’t trust a company that needs to record my every word) the automated message made sure I knew it was a recorded line. They recorded my cancellation. It’s the last word they’ll ever hear from me! Court systems are less intimidating”.
