Hello! I have lived in a farmhouse located in rural southwest Minnesota over 25 years, by myself. Close to the South Dakota and Iowa border. Mainly farmland with few trees, the wind never seems to stop blowing making winter sometimes impossible to live here. I’ve had drifts in my front yard and driveway over twenty feet high! Needless to say, I continue to live here year after year. The people are good honest people, and everybody helps everyone in times of need. I like that. My problem is not really a problem, but an issue. You see, I am a single, rather good looking, smart, strong-willed, and physically strong, independent women. I have done most of ‘renovating’ and landscaping by myself. Now I’m dam near in my 60s, it is not quite as easy to do repairs needed, let alone keep up with modern technology. For instance, I still run off a fuse box, were 4 screw in fuses run most of my farmhouse, along with 2 of the old tube type fuses. Are there contractors or people in the US that actually help update farm places, without costing thousands upon thousands of dollars and ripping me off? Hey, maybe I’m a candidate for some show out there!
