The house we bought has a cut out behind the toilet. They measured wrong so to compensate they moved the sheetrock in right behind the toilet. Any suggestions on how to hide this? It’s ugly!

We have a house built in 1977, I can’t find hinges that match exactly anywhere! I have bought new ones that were close but they just don’t work quite right the door is not aligned properly anymore. Any idea how to fix this problem?

Two years ago I sanded, stained & polyurethaned my 3 rooms of old hardwood flooring. I bought felt pads from Dollar General and put under the legs of my furniture to protect my floor finish. After I moved the furniture, a ring of “oil” remained on my floors. What can I do to remove these round spots?

I’ve got recessed light cans in the attic and I want to add more insulation. Do I use batts or blown and do I need to shield the can housings or just cover them?

A few years ago I ran into a problem with mold on the underside of part of my roof (shady side). As a result of this I had an exhaust fan installed on the roof and in addition had soffit vents added to the front and back sides of the house. After have all of this work done we started smelling oil smells (basement furnace) and also smell from our basement ejection pump that is connected to a half bath we had installed done there for our kids play room. I confirmed with Master Flow that we had an adequate amount of vents. I checked a few of the vents to make sure they were not blocked. The area above them was hollow and I could see the end of the baffles. At this point I am frustrated and don’t know what to do. Help!

I have a nice climate controlled groom room/indoor kennel for my Therapy Dogs that was added onto an out building. The contractor did not put down a moisture barrier and the floor sweats bad, It was painted with TreadPlex from Sherwin Williams. Is there anyway to stop the moisture from coming up? Can I sand it and paint it with an epoxy? I do not want a problem with black mold!!!! Help PLEASE !!!

About a year ago I got squirrels in my attic. They ate through the walls in a couple small places.
I caught a few in a trap and blocked their entrance but it didn’t solve the problem. Finally I simply left music on and the problem ended???? Unfortunately with this cool weather they have returned. I’d be grateful for any help with this issue.

I’ve heard you mention many times about sloping dirt away from the house for proper drainage, but to be honest, this is not something I want to tackle myself. So, what kind of business do you call to divert rainwater and slope the ground away from the house?
