I was wondering if you could give some tips on painting metal patio furniture. We do have rust on some of the arms and the seat portion is the plastic strips. We bought new cushions but we would like to change the color of frame of the chair.

I have a 3-story house. I have a traditional vented attic with ridge vent and soffits. The problem is excess humidity especially upstairs. The ceiling is well insulated, but the attic gets hot. The house is relatively tight. I’ve been advised that replacing the bath fans with high efficiency fans and spray foaming the attic will solve the problem. What’s your advice?

I’m trying to figure out how to hang a 24″ outdoor clock on my vinyl siding. The back of the clock includes only a standard sawtooth picture hanger. Advice would be welcome.

I have a sunroom with a bare concrete floor. I plan on putting down a new tile, but the floor has some bad uneven spots, at one point it’s almost an inch low. How can I fill this? Do I have to pour a new slab on top?

Tom in NY
I had our roof replaced and they removed a powered roof exhauster and installed a ridge vent. On hot days our attic mounted central air conditioner can not keep up due to excessive heat in attic. Can I install a powered gable fan in reverse to draw air into attic to assist ridge vent?

My father’s home is well over 100 years old with a slate roof and built in gutter system. The gutters now have significant holes. What effective approaches to repair or replacement can be attempted?

Bill in IN
I want to put in a concrete walkway from my front porch to the driveway. Is there anything I can do to eliminate any cracks?
