Inside Touch Ups

Before you do those holiday paint touch-ups, identify all the areas that need attention with a brightly colored Post-It note. That way you won’t discover one you missed after you’ve put the paint away.

Next, don’t go anywhere without a drop cloth. No one will notice how good the re-painted baseboards look, if there’s a stain on the carpet right next to it.

If you’re covering up the kid’s art work on the walls, be sure to use a stain blocking primer first. Otherwise, their creativity will shine right on through.

If you choose a low VOC formula primer, you’ll have less of that annoying paint smell to deal with. That way, when your guests arrive, you’ll be able to smell the turkey and not the new paint.
