How to Safely Remove a Floor-to-Ceiling Mirror

Floor-to-ceiling mirror

Here’s a question from our 7/27/2019 Today’s Homeowner Radio Show.

Kevin from Oklahoma says, “I bought a condo three years ago that hasn’t been decorated since I think the 70’s or 80’s.
The bedroom and part on the dining room wall are full-length mirrors like you would see in maybe a dance studio.

“How do I safely remove these mirrors without getting injured and safely dispose of them?”

We tell Kevin to be very careful and make sure he wears protection on his hands and face before trying to remove the mirror.

Kevin could use wedges, piano wire or windshield-cutout wire to slowly remove the adhesive on the back of the mirror.
