How to Repair a Reoccurring Sinkhole

Danny and Joe welcome callers’ questions each week on the Today’s Homeowner Radio Show.

Here’s a question from our Nov. 9 broadcast:

Sondra in Pennsylvania has an ongoing sinkhole in her driveway. How she can repair the area to ensure it doesn’t sink again.

We tell Sondra if it’s a true sinkhole than it’s likely caused by groundwater washing away the soil. Sondra will have to have a professional dig an area much larger than the hold and fill it with processed stone. This packs really well and lets water drain.
