After gluing together woodworking projects, there’s always a little glue that squeezes out at the joint. Instead of wiping it away with a cloth, try this: Take a pair of scissors, snip off the end of a plastic drinking straw at a sharp angle. Then pinch the cut end to form a pointed spout. Now simply slide the pointed end of the straw along the joint to scoop up almost all of the glue. If there’s a little glue left, and you run the straw along the joint again, or just wipe it down with a damp cloth.
