No matter how well-groomed you keep your yard, if weeds or grass are growing in the cracks of your sidewalk or driveway, it takes away from the overall curb appeal of your home. Expensive weed killers will do the trick; but, instead of going that route, try something for free!
Plain old H2O is a very effective weed killer. That’s right—water. All you have to do is put a kettle of water on the stove, and bring it to a boil. Then pour it on the weeds or grass that you want to kill.
Basically, you’re cooking the plant right in the spot where it’s growing. While this is a great method for killing unwanted plants growing in the driveway or sidewalks, I don’t recommend it for flower beds, because boiling water will kill any plant it comes into contact with, including underground roots of nearby plants.
