MOBILE, AL (Sept. 9, 2015) – Today’s Homeowner with Danny Lipford, the No. 1 home improvement TV show in syndication, will begin its 18th broadcast season the week of Sept. 14, 2015. Reaching 1.75 million weekly viewers across 205 of the 210 TV markets in the U.S., the show will debut on several new stations this season including WMAR (ABC) in Baltimore, MD, WCPO (CBS) in Cincinnati, OH, and WBAY (ABC) in Green Bay, WI.
Host and National Home Improvement Expert Danny Lipford attributes the show’s success and longevity to its core value of providing good information. “Homes don’t come with directions. It can be overwhelming for people to figure out how to care for the many complicated systems operating in their home,” says Danny. “Today’s Homeowner, from its inception, has always provided quality, easy-to-understand information to help homeowners and give them the confidence they need to maintain and improve their homes. We look forward to continuing that tradition and welcoming new viewers this season.”
Each week on Today’s Homeowner, Danny and co-hosts Allen Lyle and Chelsea Lipford Wolf work with real homeowners to tackle projects in their home and share the successes and lessons learned along the way with the audience. The half-hour show covers all aspects of the home including kitchens, bathrooms, storage, outdoor living, garages, interior and exterior repairs, and energy efficiency. The new season will include 26 original episodes and cover added topics such as innovative and home technology trends, seasonal home maintenance and homeowner hacks that can simplify everyday chores and maintenance.
The new season will kick off with a garage makeover filmed on location in Columbus, IN. The episode follows a family of five as Danny and the Today’s Homeowner crew help them clear out the clutter and reclaim their garage space, adding efficient storage solutions, space saving strategies and a few surprises along the way.
Season 18 will also bring back a variety of popular national contests where fans can enter for a chance to win makeovers and prize packages for various areas of their homes. The coveted “Win Danny & His Crew” contest will also be part of this season where the winner will welcome Danny and the crew to their home for a day to tackle projects that have been piling up on their to-do list and be featured on an episode of Today’s Homeowner.
As the most interactive home improvement brand in the country, Today’s Homeowner is continuing that tradition by ramping up connectivity among TV viewers and TH social channels. Viewers will notice additional lower third graphics in each episode that point to more in-depth project information available on Today’s Homeowner’s social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and Twitter. The TH audience can enjoy a double screen experience by accessing additional content, photos and behind-the-scene details during each episode this season. All channels will remain an interactive forum for sharing expert home improvement advice.
