    Bulwark Exterminating Services

Bulwark Exterminating offers three general-purpose pest control plans and two specialty plans for mosquitos and termites. The general plans cover the same common household pests — excluding bed bugs at most locations — but differ in how many visits they include per year. Organizing and pricing its plans based on visit frequency is a good idea and makes it easy for customers to choose the level of service that fits their budget.

Bulwark’s plans come with an industry-leading 60-day satisfaction guarantee, which means the company will dispatch a technician to your home if you notice any pest activity between visits. The company also has an “anti-no-show” policy that makes your next visit free if it has to cancel a scheduled appointment for any reason. These policies make Bulwark extremely customer-friendly, and the company’s outstanding Better Business Bureau (BBB) score reflects this.

Let’s take a closer look at Bulwark’s pest control plans.

    General Pest Control Plan

The bulk of Bulwark’s pest control services are packaged in annual subscriptions. These plans all cover treatments for the following pests:

    • Ants
    • Cockroaches
    • Crickets
    • Earwigs
    • Fleas
    • Flies
    • Grasshoppers
    • Mice
    • Millipedes
    • Moths
    • Pillbugs
    • Rats
    • Scorpions
    • Spiders
    • Ticks
    • Wasps

Bed bugs are the most noticeable absence from this list. Unfortunately, Bulwark Exterminating doesn’t offer bed bug services at most of its locations. Currently, only customers In East Atlanta can request bed bug treatments from their local Bulwark branch.

Underneath the General Plan umbrella, customers can choose from three sub plans based on how frequently they want pest control visits.

    • Quarterly Plan: This plan includes four annual visits after the initial visit and is suitable for homeowners with minor pest problems or who want preventative pest control for protection against future pest infestations.
    • Seasonal Plan: Includes five annual visits after the initial visit.
    • Every Other Month Plan: Bulwark recommends new customers start with this plan. It includes six annual visits after the initial inspection. This plan is the best choice for moderate to severe recurring pest problems.

By default, Bulwark’s General Pest Control Plan uses traditional pesticides and insecticides, although customers can request safer, natural treatments if they prefer to avoid using hazardous chemicals.

    Mosquito Plan

Bulwark also offers mosquito treatments alongside its annual plans. The company offers one-time mosquito control services appropriate for special events, although it cautions that the effects only last for three to four weeks. For ongoing mosquito control, Bulwark advises customers to schedule monthly visits from April to October. Regular plans come with a service warranty that offers free service if you experience any mosquito activity between visits.

Bulwark uses portable misters to apply pesticides to areas of your yard where mosquito activity is highest. These areas usually include any standing water, low-hanging trees and bushes, and leaf litter. The company also uses fogger treatments for more severe cases or cases where targeted treatments can be detrimental, such as around small children or pets or when pesticides could interfere with pollinator activity.

    Termite Plan

Bulwark Exterminating regards termites as a more serious problem than more commonplace pests like ants or roaches and doesn’t offer termite control as part of its general pest control Plan. Instead, the company offers a standalone termite plan that uses bait stations to reduce the termite population around your home.

A Bulwark exterminator will perform an inspection during the initial visit to diagnose the extent of your termite problem and devise an appropriate treatment plan. Unfortunately, Bulwark’s termite plan leaves a lot to be desired, as the company does not offer newer termite control options like Sentricon technology. The company’s old-school bait system approach is effective against less severe infestations but won’t protect your home from future infestations.

    Bulwark Exterminating Availability and Locations

Bulwark Exterminating is based in Tacoma, Washington, and is available in the following states:

    • Arizona
    • Georgia
    • Missouri
    • New Mexico
    • Nevada
    • North Carolina
    • Oklahoma
    • South Carolina
    • Tennessee
    • Texas
    • Utah
    • Washington

Most of Bulwark’s services are available at all of the individual locations, with the exception of bed bug treatments, which are restricted to East Atlanta residents. It is unclear from the Bulwark website whether the company plans on offering bed bug treatments in more locations in the future.

    Bulwark Exterminating Cost Breakdown

According to user reviews, Bulwark’s prices are a bit higher than the local average, but customers are generally satisfied with the company’s services, especially its mosquito treatments. Its annual plans are reasonably priced and structured so that the more comprehensive plans are more affordable on a cost-per-visit basis. The following prices are an estimate for a 2,000 square foot home with average pest control needs:

    • Quarterly Plan: $600–$650 per year
    • Seasonal Plan: $650–$700 per year
    • Every Other Month Plan: $700-$750

Keep in mind that these are only estimates. You can expect to pay more if you have a larger home or a more severe pest problem. Additionally, some pests are easier to manage than others; for example, you will pay more for rodent control than ant control. Scheduling an Inspection with Bulwark Exterminating

Scheduling an inspection with a Bulwark Exterminating technician is easy. You can either call your local branch directly by looking up its phone number on the Bulwark website, call the main number (found in the table below), or submit an inquiry form in the “Contact Us” section of the website. Before you contact a Bulwark customer service representative, make sure you have the following information ready:

    • The kind of pest you’re dealing with
    • The approximate size of the area that needs treatment in square feet
    • Your preference for traditional or natural pesticides
    • Your preferred treatment frequency

Don’t forget that Bulwark’s General Pest Control Plans do not include mosquito treatments or termite control, so you’ll need to arrange for those services separately.

    Final Thoughts

Bulwark Exterminating is a good choice for most of your exterminating needs — as long as you live in one of the twelve states with Bulwark locations. The company’s reviews indicate that its technicians are capable, experienced, and friendly, and the generous 60-day satisfaction guarantee makes using Bulwark a low-risk endeavor. Bulwark’s prices are a bit higher than some of its competitors, and its techniques aren’t the most cutting edge, but it’s still a good option for basic pest management.
