The bathroom is one of the most used rooms in your house — and sometimes it can be the ugliest.

So what are some things you can do to make your bathroom beautiful? “Today’s Homeowner” TV and Radio host Danny Lipford has some tips.

The “Today’s Homeowner” TV show has had numerous bathroom makeovers, and the cast and crew just taped their latest at the home of David and Ally Greer in Mobile, Alabama.

The Greers’ bathroom makeover featured these projects:

  • Replace vanity and paint the walls, cabinet, doors, trim and ceiling
  • Install new ceramic floor over existing floor
  • Replace the exhaust fan and replumb two sinks
  • Install Fluidmaster enhancements in toilet
  • Install new light fixtures and faucets

For the sink, we installed a two-handle, three-hole faucet from Danze by Gerber’s Vaughn Collection. The faucet includes a metal pop-up drain assembly and comes in three finishes: brushed nickel, chrome and satin black.

We used the chrome finish, which matches nicely with David and Ally’s new vanity countertop, which has a marble appearance.

Accessories including a towel ring, robe hook, towel bar and paper holder, also from Danze, match the faucet for a finished look.

This robe hook complements the Danze by Gerber faucet we installed in the Greers’ bathroom.
This faucet from Danze by Gerber’s Vaughn Collection is sleek, stylish and looks great in the Greers’ bathroom.

Installing a toilet can get pretty messy thanks to all the wax that’s usually required.

That’s why we used Fluidmaster’s Better Than Wax Ring. The kit includes a stackable wax-free seal, a slide-on spacer and no-rust brass bolts and hardware, which makes installing a toilet easier — and cleaner — than ever.

Ally Greer cleans the wax left over from the toilet.
Fluidmaster’s Better Than Wax Ring offers a neater installation — literally — than the alternative.

Fluidmaster’s PerforMAX All-In-One Repair Kit will save David and Ally plenty of headaches from problems such as the toilet turning itself on; a noisy, constantly running or leaky toilet; a toilet with a weak flush or failure to flush; a slow-filling toilet; and numerous other problems. This kit makes the toilet run like new!

To add a finishing touch, Fluidmaster’s Chrome Tank Lever is a designer lever that can be trimmed to fit almost any tank, and its metal arm won’t corrode or break.

And your toilet can perform as good as new with Fluidmaster’s PerforMAX All-In-One Repair Kit — and it can look great with a new tank lever.
