I believe that TruGreen is the best lawn care company out there because of its range of services and willingness to address customer issues.

Every company gets bad reviews occasionally, but TruGreen has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and offers up to 20 different services to ensure you get the lawn you’ve always wanted.

Spring Green offers many services that nearly mimic TruGreen’s, but it lacks the availability and ease of use that TruGreen has with its online quotes and a mobile app to help you track your progress from anywhere.

I recommend TruGreen to my friends and family whenever they ask me for a professional lawn care service, and I also recommend it to you.

One thing I like most about TruGreen is its wider range of package options designed to cater to your lawn. The TruComplete plan is its most basic offering, and while it’s around $600–$700 per year for an annual plan, you’re getting pretty much everything you need as a homeowner. Fertilization, weed control, and core aeration are all included.

If you need tree and shrub care, you can get a TruGreen plan that includes all the above. Instead of adding each service and running up the cost, the company provides comprehensive options, which is a no-brainer.

Ultimately, I think TruGreen provides a better range of services and package options to help fit into a tight budget.

Both lawn maintenance companies offer a vast assortment of plans and services. But what separates the two is how their packages are structured.

I love the fact that TruGreen offers complex packages that cover all your lawn’s needs. You don’t have to cherry-pick which services you want as you do with Spring Green.

That’s one of the main reasons why I prefer TruGreen.

Don’t get me wrong. Spring Green offers many great services. For example, if you simply want its lawn disease solutions to eliminate mushrooms or snow mold, you can do that. But you need to pick and choose what you want.

You’ll likely end up with a more in-depth plan if you choose TruGreen. The company will lock you into a contract covering more services than Spring Green. But you’ll also get its lawn care specialists’ expertise and a consultation to tell you what you need rather than leaving it up to you to figure out.

Some of the services offered by Spring Green include lawn analysis, fertilization, weed control, aeration, overseeding, insect control, tree and shrub care, pest control, disease management, organic alternatives, and brown patch control. TruGreen offers all the same services, and the two companies nearly mimic each other in what they offer.

How can you choose one over the other?

It all comes down to how you look at packaged services and contracts. Spring Green builds everything off its Economy or Preferred Lawn Care plan. Economy is basic while Preferred is more comprehensive. From there, you’ll add on whatever services are deemed necessary, and this is where the costs run up.

With TruGreen, you choose a TruComplete, TruHealth, TruMaintenance, or Natural plan containing all your needed services. You should have little desire to add on anything else once you start one of these plans.

Personally, I like TruGreen, and there’s a reason why it’s a popular lawn care company. Its package options are easy to understand, simple to sign up for, and comprehensive enough to give almost anyone the green and lush lawn they want.

The chances of getting an ideal service seem higher with the smaller company.
