Sometimes thinking green can leave a very good taste in your mouth, especially if you pull your slow cooker out of storage. Sometimes referred to as a Crock Pot, this appliance was very popular in the early seventies. The energy use of a slow cooker will vary depending on what part of the country you live in, but on the average it will only cost you anywhere from ten cents to a quarter to run for 8 hours.
