Priority Home Warranty has low monthly premiums and an affordable service call fee that makes it great for homeowners on a budget. However, Priority does have a lower coverage cap than most home warranty providers and has a poor company reputation. Many customers also report that it’s been difficult to contact Priority representatives and successfully submit claims. Due to these claims, it is possible that Priority Home Warranty has quietly gone out of business.

The Appliance Home Care and Systems Home Care plans are among the most affordable home warranty plans available. The average monthly cost in the industry is $50, and each of these plans starts at just $44 per month. Even Priority’s add-on coverage is affordable, with nearly all items under $10 per month.
Priority has a lower coverage cap for major systems than many other home warranty providers. Whereas some of our top providers have coverage caps of $3,000 or more, you can only get a maximum of $1,600 to cover the cost to replace or repair a home system.
Like most home warranty providers, Priority has a 30-day waiting period before you can make your first claim. This company also offers a service guarantee. So if a technician comes to your home and your home appliance or system still is not fixed, they’ll keep coming back until it is.
When we reached out for a free quote from Priority’s website, we were unable to make it past the address page, which did make the quotes process frustrating. With all other home warranty providers, it’s easy to get a free online quote to compare plans and coverage.
Priority opened its doors in 2014, giving it nearly 10 years of home warranty experience, which is valuable for building relationships with home service providers. Currently, there are no open claims or civil rights violations against Priority Home Warranty.

When rating this provider, we still deemed it more affordable considering some companies charge up to $150 per service request. Should you sign-up for coverage through Priority, or any other provider, this fee will be due at the time of your first diagnostic appointment.
