We have problems with squirrels munching on the round gable vents on our house. Can these be repaired or would they have to be replaced? If replaced, do they push out from the inside or push in from the outside? How difficult are these to replace? Any suggestions or directions would be greatly appreciated.

I want to add a closet to a bonus room. The room has radiant heat below hardwood flooring. How do I fasten the framing to the floor? I don’t want to nail or screw into the hot water tubes. Construction adhesive? Strong enough?

I have a home with a concrete slab foundation. Water damage required the demo of our hardwood floor. When the 3/4″ plywood sub floor was removed, it left the slab looking like a battle zone with 1″+ holes that look like a machine gun had raked the slab. Will these holes need to be filled before re-laying the 3/4″ sub floor? If so, with what?

We just put two new coats of semi-gloss paint on our front porch steps, and they look great. However, the steps are exposed to the weather and after it rains, they get quite slippery. Is there a product you can paint on to keep the same appearance, but make them safer? I’ve heard paint that contains sand, but wouldn’t that just wear off?
