For DIYers, the holy grail of flooring is something that’s great looking, affordable, durable and easy to install.
The new Multi-Width Plank Flooring from Lifeproof is pretty close…it’s a floating floor that features an innovative, closed-cell foamed PVC core for rigidity and strength, yet it’s lightweight and easy to handle.
There are three interchangeable plank widths so you can create a truly custom, authentic wood-look floor.
The surface layer is solid virgin vinyl for great durability with embossed detail and texture.
The attached underlayment minimizes sound, absorbs shock and enhances warmth and comfort underfoot.
And their simple drop-and-lock end joints make installation a breeze.
You can cut the flooring with a simple utility knife but you may want to pick up a rubber mallet and a tapping block to speed up installation.

Like the look of Lifeproof flooring. Will definitely look at when I go to Home Depot. Hope a great product for my 2 bathrooms that I hope to do soon.
What would you recommend for new flooring in a bathroom?
My husband and I are looking at waterproof plank flooring. We were just wondering if that is a good choice for a bathroom.
Thank you!
Hi, Diane!
We are fans of Armstrong’s waterproof, diamond-hard, luxury vinyl flooring.
It’s scratch-resistant and can handle a bathroom’s usual demands.

Good luck with your flooring project!
Could this be used on a covered porch ‘up north’ ??
Hi, Debbie! Sorry; LifeProof recommends installing this flooring exclusively inside the home.
