Fixing squeaks under carpeting used to require removing the carpet to get to the problem. Now there are kits available, such as Squeeeeek No More, that can solve the problem without damaging or removing the carpet.
After locating the squeak, use the special screws and guide in the kit to secure the problem board to the subfloor, then snap off the screws so they are hidden and out of the way. Watch this video to find out more.

Where can I buy this item?
Kathy, here’s the link: http://www.123itsdone.com/squeeeeek-no-more-kit.html
Good advise on squeaky floors.
I have a real bad squeak in front of my bathroom vanity. It is linoleum.
Is there any way to fix this? I do have a basement underneath which I thought could be used. Flooring in bathroom still looks good so I don’t want to replace it.
Thank you so much for your help.
