To cut door jambs so flooring will fit under them, turn a piece of flooring over to use as a guide. Lay a handsaw flat on top of the flooring and saw through the jamb.
Hi, Peggy,
It would be extremely hard to get close enough to cut the bottom of the door jamb with a traditional jigsaw. A jamb saw, jamb or oscillating tool would work much, much better.
Good luck!
Tile can be laid directly on top of an existing tile floor as long as the old floor is in good condition. Watch this video to find out how to go about laying tile over tile.
Great site for what appears is good information.
