Tip for Drilling Concrete
To make drilling large holes into concrete easier on you and your drill, start with a 1/8- or ¼-in.-dia. bit. Then enlarge the hole with a slightly larger bit, say, 5/16 or 3/8 in. Continue to use progressively larger bits until you’ve drilled the desired size hole.
