If door fit at one time, it’s more likely you need to adjust the hinges to make it fit again. Cutting the door doesn’t seem like the right way to do it in 99% of situations.
Keep in mind that when the humidity goes down, so will the swelling and you’ll end up with gaps. Reducing the humidity would fix this (and many other potential problems).
