Danny Lipford: The folks at Schlage have provided us with one of their new touchscreen deadbolts for Russ and Vicki’s house, and this thing is full of features. It gives you keyless entry with up to 30 different codes, so you don’t have to wait for the cable guy or worry about forgetting your key.
The lock can even be operated remotely from a computer or smartphone when it’s connected to the Nexia Home Intelligence System. And on top of all of that, the lock includes an alarm that can alert you if someone tampers with it or just let you know when the door has been opened.
