Advantages of Fiberglass over Wood Doors

It takes only a few years of exposure to the sun, rain, and other elements to degrade the finish on an exterior wood entry door. Fiberglass doors have an attractive, natural look—compete with simulated wood grain—but hold up much better to harsh conditions than real wood.

Fiberglass doors have a wood core to give a solid feel as well as better insulation value. The wood used in some doors are treated with treated with the preservative to protects from decay and termites.
