The Pros and Cons of Pocket Doors

Danny and Joe welcome callers’ questions each week on the Today’s Homeowner Radio Show.

Here’s a question from our Feb. 2, 2019 broadcast:

Dan from California says, “We have an older house with lath and plaster walls whose design allows those entering the house or in the living room to see down a hall to the bedrooms and den.

“There was a standard door in the opening which was removed years ago. The frame is still in place. Due to an odd configuration, there is one wall that could house a pocket door for privacy when people are in the living room.”

But what are the pros and cons? That’s the question.
