If you have unsightly rust stains on your concrete patio, driveway, or sidewalk; you know they’re not coming off with soap and water. But don’t panic, there is a solution that doesn’t call for special cleaning chemicals or tools because it’s completely safe and natural.

Cleaning masonry surfaces usually calls for an acid cleaner, but those can often be very dangerous products to apply and sometimes difficult to find. However, in this case the one you need may be right inside your refrigerator, provided you have a couple of lemons in the fruit drawer.

Cut the lemons in half, and then rub them into the rust stains. As the natural citric acid works on the stain, blot or wipe the area with a soft towel to remove it. Now when life gives you lemons, you can clean the patio.
