Simple Solution

Because of the way most of us use a wire brush, the bristles near the very end of the brush wear out prematurely, rendering the brush useless—almost. Here’s how to save a badly worn, deformed wire brush: Take a hacksaw and cut off the damaged section from the end of the brush. That’ll shorten the brush slightly, but expose a set of barely used bristles at the brush end.
