The Kuppersmith home renovation project follows the extensive renovation of a two-story, Tudor style home built in 1926 in Mobile, Alabama. In the eighth of our 13-part series, we pour the concrete driveway, install retractable screens, and lay mosaic tile in the bathroom.

The soffit and beam on the back porch of the Kuppersmith Project house were framed to accommodate motorized, retractable screens. The screens can be rolled down at the touch of a button, then retracted into the soffit to let the outside in when they’re not needed. Watch this video to find out more.

To allow access to the great outdoor on the Kuppersmith Project house back porch – while keeping insects at bay – retractable, motorized screens were installed. The screens can be lowered at the touch of a button from the wireless control then raised to allow an access to the backyard.
