One of the most unique features of the Kuppersmith Project house is the inlayed, marble mantel with a bird motif that is found in the living room.
I always assumed the mantel was original to the 1926 house, so I was surprised to learn from designer Joe Boehm, of Better Homes & Gardens magazine, that it’s actually older than the home it now occupies.
The late Victorian mantel is from the 1880s, which means it was made 40 to 50 years before the construction of the house. Watch this video to find out more.
