The Kuppersmith home renovation project follows the extensive renovation of a two-story, Tudor-style home built in 1926 in Mobile, Alabama.
In the eighth of our 13-part series, we tackle:
Screens: Install motorized, retractable screens on the back porch that can be raised to let the outdoors in or lowered to keep insects out.
Doors: Four-panel interior doors that matched to originals were installed and the door trim applied.
Painting: We continued with painting the walls and trim inside of the house.
Bathroom: Solid surface material from DeNova, which had been scored to resemble tile, was installed on the shower walls; and the bathroom floor was tiled in a mosaic inlay pattern.
Driveway: The color-tinted concrete for the circular driveway was poured.
Fence: Composite fencing from Fiberon was installed in the backyard.
Grates: Cast iron foundation grates were painted and installed in the foundation.
