Between the family room and back porch on the Kuppersmith Project house, we installed a massive 8’ high by 16’ wide double sliding glass door. When both of the doors on the unit are open, we’ll have an 8’ by 8’ opening from the house to the porch.

Danny Lipford: While the subcontractors are pushing hard to get the inside ready for insulation and drywall, our guys are working hard to get the house completely sealed before the drywall is hung. We saved the biggest opening for last.
This JELD-WEN double sliding door unit will separate the family room from the covered back porch. At 16 feet wide, by 8 feet high, this thing is a handful. But when it’s fully assembled, and the doors are opened, we’ll have an unobstructed 8-foot by 8-foot opening. Very cool!
