Once all our Merillat kitchen cabinets were in place, it was time to install the countertops. For the countertops on the island, drop zone, and coffee bar in the kitchen of the Kuppersmith Project house we chose DeNova granite in their Golden Hill color.

While granite is very hard and durable, care had to be taken during transit to prevent breaking until the heavy slabs were supported by the cabinets. After the seams in the countertops had been aligned, glue was applied to the edges and the pieces were clamped together until the adhesive set.

To provide a different design element in the kitchen, we used DeNova quartz countertops in a Tuscan Grey color on the cabinets along the wall.
