To improve energy efficiency and reduce maintenance on the Kuppersmith Project house, the drafty old windows were replaced with insulated glass wood windows.
The outside of the window frames is clad in vinyl coated aluminum for low maintenance. In order to seal out any drafts and reduce air infiltration, a special tape was applied around each window before the trim or siding was applied.
