Here’s a question from our 7/6/2019 Today’s Homeowner Radio Show.
Peggy in South Carolina says, “My bedroom is above my garage with an insulated ceiling. It’s really hot in the room all summer, and it feels that way eight months out of the year.
“Would it help keep it cooler if I put a white reflective foam core insulation on the ceiling? I have this product on my garage door already and it helped the temperature in the garage.”
We tell Peggy to inspect her attic and make sure there’s enough insulation to keep hot air out.
Also, a ventilation system inside the garage would help keep the heat from rising into the bedroom.
