4 Tips to Declutter and Stylishly Organize Things

3. Use a Dresser — or Crate — for Kids’ Toys

One stylish way that you can organize your child’s room is by using a dresser for storing toys and books instead of clothing.

You can paint the dresser to match the details in the room or to feature a fun character or design that your child likes.

Label the drawers with the items that are inside, such as dolls or cars, so that it’s easier to locate what your child wants to play with that day and easier to put items back when done playing.

Don’t have an extra dresser for toy storage? Grab four large crates, screw them to the wall and you have an instant, stylish alternative!

4. Hide Things in Ottomans and Under Coffee Tables

If you want to hide books, magazines and even toys, consider getting furniture that can double as storage.

An ottoman with a lid can be used for toys while a coffee table with drawers (or boxes on a shelf beneath the top) can hold books and magazines.

Organizing your home doesn’t have to be a chore. With the right tools and tips, you can have fun clearing out the clutter that you no longer need while making sure all of the items that tend to linger on the floor or on various surfaces have a home of their own.
